Dental Cleaning FAQs

If I brush and floss every day as instructed do I still need to visit the dentist for dental cleanings twice a year?

YES! Brushing and flossing twice a day for two full minutes is the best thing you can do for the health of your teeth and gums inbetween professional cleanings. But no matter how well you brush it may still be impossible for you to reach all the surfaces of your teeth. Professional cleanings offer a deeper clean and remove disease-causing bacteria and plaque from the deep pockets of your gums.

Do dental cleanings hurt?

Our dental hygenist is a highly trained professional who treats each patient with a compassion and a gentle hand. Most patients are totally comfortable during their treatment. For patients with dental anxiety, Dr. Sareen offers sedation dentistry methods to help them relax and remain comfortable during their cleaning. Dr. Sareen will discuss your sedation options with you prior to treatment.
