Tooth Bonding What to Expect
The bonding procedure is a minimally invasive, comfortable procedure. Bonding can be completed in just one visit to our Fairfax, VA dentist office and patients can return to their daily activities after treatment.
Dr. Sareen will begin treatment by prepping the patient’s teeth that will receive the bonding. A small amount of tooth enamel will be removed making space for the bonding.
Next, the bonding material will be placed directly on the tooth surface. Dr. Sareen molds the bonding material on the tooth to create the desired look. Patients will approve the bonding before Dr. Sareen activates the hardening agent for a lasting hold.
With good oral hygiene and routine dental checkups, bonding can last for many years. Patients will require maintenance of bonding after about ten years of use.
